The Department for Energy Efficiency announces the launch of the "Belarus – Energy Efficient Country" Republican Information and Education Campaign. Join us!

 

From October 30 to November 11, 2024, the Department for Energy Efficiency is holding the "Belarus – Energy Efficient Country" Republican Information and Education Campaign. It is timed to coincide with the International Day for Energy Saving (November 11).

 

The campaign is conducted to implement the provisions of Directive of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 3 of June 14, 2007 "On Priority Directions for Strengthening the Economic Security of the State" and the Law of the Republic of Belarus No. 239-Z of January 8, 2015 "On Energy Saving".

 

The purpose of the campaign is to raise public awareness of the importance of efficient use of energy resources, possible ways and methods of saving them, including in everyday life and at home, which is a significant measure in improving the well-being of citizens and the economic growth of the country as a whole.

Taking into account that the effective and rational consumption of energy resources largely depends on the mobilization of efforts of all state structures, institutions, organizations and business communities, public associations, and media, the Department for Energy Efficiency calls to join the "Belarus – Energy Efficient Country" Republican Information and Education Campaign and take an active part in informing employees and the public about the importance of energy efficiency and ways of energy saving at home.

To the International Day of Energy Saving, the Department for Energy Efficiency is organizing a series of thematic events: round tables, training seminars – for specialists; open lessons and information hours, intellectual games, contests and quizzes – for children and youth; mini-contests – for social media followers; hotlines – to answer the most pressing questions from citizens and organizations; press events – for media representatives. The events are aimed at drawing attention to energy efficiency and energy saving issues, popularizing, in a form accessible to a wide range of citizens, the economic, environmental, and social benefits of an energy- and resource-saving lifestyle, and strengthening our country's energy independence.
Information materials on relevant topics are posted on the website of the Department for Energy Efficiency in the section "Popularly about energy saving/Useful tips", as well as on the official YouTube channel of the Department – social videos on energy saving.
