Farmers in the Vitebsk region have threshed 1 million tons of grain and rapeseed

A solemn ceremony was held in the field of RUP "Vitebsk Zonal Institute of Agriculture of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus" on the occasion of the region's agrarians threshing 1 million tons of grain and rapeseed.

According to the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Alexander Subbotin, taking into account the weather and all circumstances, this is a real feat. The harvest was not easy: combine units were accompanied by heavy tractors in case of getting stuck in rain-soaked soil. The head of the region emphasized that everyone tried very hard and gave 120% this year. He expressed his immense gratitude to the Grodno, Minsk, Mogilev, and Gomel regions, which sent combine harvester brigades to help, which helped bring the result closer, and called one million tons one of the intermediate milestones that inspires further success.

Handing over a symbolic sheaf to Alexander Subbotin, the First Deputy Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee Sergey Levkovich noted: the achieved indicator indicates that this is not the maximum level that Vitebsk region can reach. However, under the current conditions, this is a serious achievement, as everyone who works the land knows. Regular rains affected the pace of the harvesting campaign. As never before, inter-farm and inter-district transfer of equipment was used, and other regions provided assistance. If it were not for the organized work at the district, regional, and republican levels, such a result would not have been achieved. In general, one million tons is a testament to the coordinated work of the rural workers.
