Alexander Subbotin and Dmitry Demidov took part in tree planting in the Vitebsk region

The landscaping site was the territory near the 70th kilometer of the M-8/E95 highway, the border of the Russian Federation – Vitebsk – Gomel – the border of Ukraine, the so-called Tarasenko interchange. A labor force, which included member of the Council of the Republic Gleb Lapitsky, representatives of the parliamentary corps, the regional committee for natural resources and environmental protection, the district executive committee, the branch "DЭU № 31" of RUP "Vitebskavtodor", public organizations, planted about 300 maple trees.
According to the regional plan of measures for the Year of Improvement, each district, among other things, has been assigned the task of landscaping territories, planting trees and shrubs along republican roads. The planting plans for spring are being completed in the last days of April, and the work will continue in the autumn.
– Improvement is not just planting trees and landscaping. It's just the right time for this kind of work now, a time for a kind of "spring sowing," – noted Alexander Subbotin. – The complex of planned works includes road repairs (about 1.3 million square meters of road surface will be repaired), yard improvement, construction of water deironing stations, and reconstruction of street lighting. In particular, about 13.7 thousand conventional lamps will be replaced with LED lamps. This year, every corner of our land should become more beautiful.
