Please note that stoves are designed for moderate heating. In severe frost, to avoid overheating the stoves, it is advisable to heat them twice a day with an interval.

The firebox door must be closed, and the firewood length should not exceed the depth of the firebox, otherwise hot coals and embers will fall onto the floor. To prevent the wooden floor from catching fire from fallen embers, a sheet of roofing iron must be nailed in front of the firebox opening. Flammable and combustible liquids must not be used for kindling.

Under no circumstances should you leave lit stoves unattended, nor should you entrust children with supervising them. Hanging laundry or clothes near stoves for drying is also unsafe.

Stoves require regular maintenance. Chimneys must be cleaned regularly, as soot accumulates in large quantities on their walls. When it burns, sparks fly into the air, often leading to fires.

Hot ash from stoves must be emptied into a pit, away from buildings, after being extinguished with water, sand, or snow.
