To prevent accidents and child fatalities at water bodies, Glubokoye rescuers not only conduct raids but also teach children swimming and the use of rescue equipment. Rescuers are confident that special practical training sessions are one of the effective methods for educating the younger generation. Therefore, to teach children swimming techniques, specialists conduct events at health resorts.

One such meeting took place at the "Rodnichok" children's health resort. Glubokoye District Department for Emergency Situations rescuers conducted practical training for the vacationing children. First, a discussion was held on the simplest and most important rules for safe behavior on the water. The second stage of training was dedicated to the correct swimming technique. The children were taught how to stay afloat, breathe, and use different swimming styles.

"The ability to swim well is one of the most important conditions for safe recreation on the water. The first thing to master is learning to breathe correctly and stay afloat," rescuers comment.

On the lake shore, the children were also taught the skills of using rescue equipment: the correct throwing of a lifebuoy, an "Alexandrov's rope" from the shore, as well as providing pre-medical first aid.
