Safety in every home

To prevent fires in residential buildings and resulting fatalities, the campaign "Safety in Every Home" will be held in the republic from January 23 to February 10, 2023.

The campaign events in Gluboksky District will be held in 3 stages. The first stage will take place at public order support points and recycling collection points.

The second stage will be held in educational institutions, in the day care unit for the elderly at the territorial center for social services for the population, and the final third stage will be held on February 9 at the "Real" shopping center.

The events are aimed at reducing the number of fires caused by citizens' non-compliance with fire safety regulations in residential areas. The campaign organizers will conduct discussions and briefings, distribute visual materials, and show fire safety-related films.

What to do if a fire occurs?

- Report the incident to the Ministry of Emergency Situations by calling "101" or "112";

- Close windows and doors and go outside. If you are in an apartment building, inform your neighbors and residents of the apartments above and below about the incident;

- Meet the firefighters and inform them about the fire;

- If the room is heavily smoke-filled, crawl, as the temperature near the floor is significantly lower and there is more oxygen there;

- If it is impossible to evacuate the premises, go to the balcony or a far room, closing the door behind you, and call for help from passers-by.

And remember that correct and coordinated actions can reduce the consequences of a fire. Take care of yourself and your loved ones.
