Improvement of a landmark object

On May 10, 2025, as part of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War, as well as the events of the Year of Improvement, a landmark object was improved – a mass grave in the village of Lipovo, Gluboksky district. More than 250 people took part in the event – these were representatives of the Gluboksky District and Psuevsky Rural Executive Committees, the BRSM and Belaya Rus youth organizations, the Gluboksky District Inspectorate of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, and the Lipovo forestry of the Gluboksky Experimental Forestry. It is noteworthy that the majority of the participants in the action are students from all 16 schools in the Gluboksky district.

A solemn ceremony was held, where representatives of the Center for Children and Youth of the Gluboksky District, the Department of Ideology of the District Executive Committee, and the BRSM gave parting words to the children about fulfilling their civic duty. As part of the event, the head of the Gluboksky District Inspectorate of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, Alexander Kazak, gave parting words to the participants.

A time capsule with a message to descendants was laid at the mass grave, which they are to open in 20 years, i.e., in the year of the 100th anniversary of the war, on May 9, 2045. Also, as part of the action, 80 common pine seedlings were symbolically planted. The planted trees became a symbol of the courage, resilience, and bravery of the Gluboksky people in the fight against the German invaders. The action concluded with a minute of silence.
