Garbage, last year's grass, tree leaves – everything that catches the eye of a conscientious owner is subject to cleaning. Often, owners choose the simplest and fastest way to dispose of waste – by burning. While the fire is "tidying up" the plot, there is a moment to discuss the latest news with neighbors and think about plans for the upcoming season.

Engrossed in spring chores, owners notice too late that the flames, fanned by the wind, have already spread to neighboring territories and nearby structures. It is impossible to cope with such a fire without the help of rescuers – there is a high probability of finding oneself in a fiery trap or suffocating in smoke.

Every year, during the spring-summer fire hazard period, cases of dry vegetation fires occur in the Vitebsk region. For example, in 2020, 156 fires were registered in natural ecosystems in the Vitebsk region: 121 of them were grass and shrub fires, 34 were forest fires, and 1 was a peat fire.

In 2020, 2 fires occurred in natural ecosystems in the Glubokoye district (1 forest fire and 1 dry grass and shrub fire). In 2019, there were 2 dry vegetation fires.
