What does the emergence of enterprises under the "One District - One Project" initiative offer to small towns?

The emergence of new production facilities in district centers and small towns not only creates jobs and generates budget revenue but also contributes to the overall development of the district. This was stated to journalists in Sharkovshchina after the opening of a direct-pressed juice production enterprise by the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, the President's authorized representative in the Vitebsk region, Igor Sergeenko, BELTA correspondent reports.
Igor Sergeenko took part in the opening ceremony of the enterprise. Thanks to the new production, 20 jobs have been created for the residents of the district, with another 30 to be added in the future. What does the emergence of such enterprises bring to small towns? "New jobs, budget revenue, and most importantly, it's the development of the district, we retain personnel. Today, about 6,000 people live in Sharkovshchina. It's a very small urban settlement that is acquiring a new look – two years ago, the "Dazhynki" festival was held here, new facilities are appearing. I would like to see more of them in other regions of our country," he noted.
The new plant in Sharkovshchina was built as part of the "One District - One Project" initiative, and Igor Sergeenko emphasized that it has a positive impact on the economic development of the districts. "Thanks to the implementation of this program, the economic landscape of our country is changing. Obviously, today we can say that in such a turbulent world, only a strong government acting in the interests of the people and relying on a strong economy and domestic business can preserve the country. Today, the economy of our country is being built brick by brick from such facilities," added the Chairman of the House of Representatives.
Igor Sergeenko also took part in the opening of the renovated fire and rescue unit in Sharkovshchina and visited several agricultural enterprises in the district.
