The marathon "Glubochchyna: 85 Years of History and Achievements", dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Gluboksky district, has been launched

Marathon participants will visit each of the 13 rural councils of Glubochchyna, where they will meet people who have contributed to the development and formation of the district and those who are yet to do so.

The Plissa rural council was the first to welcome the marathon participants. A dialogue-format meeting was held at the Plissa school. It was positive and open. Both peers of the district and youth participated in the discussion. The older generation shared memories of the district's formation history, and everyone was able to learn something useful and new for themselves.

– I am sure that the marathon can truly unite generations. By participating in it, we all feel a sense of patriotism and appreciate our small homeland even more, – said Tatyana Tarasevich, Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee.

Cultural workers of Glubochchyna initiated the creation of a thematic patchwork quilt panel "My District's Favorite Corner" as a gift to the district, dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the Gluboksky district.

Creative and responsible residents undertook the preparation and creation of an art element from each rural council. Each rural council will present a visiting card of its territory.

Vasily Plisssko, Chairman of the Plissa Rural Council of Deputies, handed over the panel element depicting the Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary of Mercy in Zadorozhye, made by Plissa craftswomen, to Vera Telitsa, Chairman of the District Council of Deputies.

– Indeed, the marathon unites us and allows us to be together, regardless of our age and work, and to get positive emotions from communication, – said Vera Telitsa, Chairman of the Gluboksky District Council of Deputies.
