Information Day: Cybersecurity in Focus – and Beyond

A Unified Information Day was held in the Glubokoye district.

The information day, combining topics of digital security and everyday well-being, took place at the Glubokoye PMK Meliorvodkhoz facility.

Residents of the village of Shunevtsy and employees of the enterprise received practical recommendations on how to recognize online fraud schemes and protect their data and funds.

Vera Telitsa, Chairperson of the Glubokoye District Council of Deputies, as well as representatives of the district internal affairs department and the district emergency situations department, participated in the dialogue.

Vasily Orlov, Deputy Head of the Glubokoye District Department of Internal Affairs – Head of Criminal Police, detailed the most common tactics used by fraudsters, from phishing and fake "bank" calls to manipulations through messengers and social networks.

Alexey Kissel, Head of the District Department for Emergency Situations, reminded attendees of fire safety rules, which are particularly relevant during the peak of the heating season, including the safe use of heaters, stoves, and electrical appliances.

A meeting with employees of the Glubokoye District Veterinary Station and Veterinary Laboratory was held by Tatyana Konstantinova, Deputy Chairperson of the District Executive Committee.

The purpose of the event is to raise awareness among institution employees about the risks of the digital environment and to develop skills for safe work with information resources.

Cybersecurity was also discussed with the staff of the Glubokoye power grids. Vasily Orlov, Deputy Head of the Glubokoye District Department of Internal Affairs – Head of Criminal Police, spoke about fraud cases in the district and what needs to be known to avoid falling for scammers' tricks.
