On February 20, a meeting of the standing commission for coordinating employment promotion for the population was held, chaired by Vera Telitsa.

Deputy of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus for the Dokshitsy Electoral District No. 22, Anatoly Sivko, took part in the commission's work.

Commission members considered the life situations of citizens who came for consultations, including those in the social risk group. Some of them had recently returned from places of detention and therapeutic labor colonies, were registered with the criminal-executive inspection of the Gluboksky District Department of Internal Affairs, led an immoral lifestyle, and had been unemployed or without permanent work for many years.

Some were skeptical about employment offers, finding dozens of reasons not to work. Others actively made promises to get employed. Still others agreed to any job with optimism and a desire to change their lifestyle. There were citizens who had been working on rotational assignments in Russia for several years and would return there for earnings with the start of the construction season.

Commission members informed citizens about the necessity of official employment and documentary confirmation of their employment, and about the one hundred percent payment for gas, heating, and hot water supply services, provided that the able-bodied owners of housing are unemployed. They urged citizens to remember that they would only receive a pension if they had twenty years of insurance experience.

The commission meeting also reviewed documents submitted by residents of the Gluboksky region confirming their official employment.

– Employment is a priority issue for rural regions, and it must be addressed comprehensively, involving deputies of various levels, rural executive committees, employers, employment centers, commission specialists, and citizens themselves, by stimulating their interest in working in their homeland, in Glubokoye, which should be economically stable, well-maintained, developing, and comfortable for people's work, life, and recreation. And it will be so on the condition that everyone makes their feasible contribution to its prosperity, – summarized Anatoly Sivko.
