From February 20 to March 1, the Vitebsk region will host the republican campaign "Unified Safety Day"

From February 20 to March 1, the Vitebsk region will host the republican campaign "Unified Safety Day".

During these days, preventive measures will be carried out to prevent emergencies, offenses, and crimes, as well as to train people on how to behave in various emergency situations and provide first aid.

From February 20 to March 1, mass preventive events will be held in the Gluboksky district as part of the Unified Safety Day. Employees of the district department for emergency situations, the internal affairs department, departments of ideological work and youth affairs, education, the labor, employment, and social protection department of the district executive committee, power grids, healthcare, district gas services, and other interested services will be involved in preventive work. Specialists, based on the analysis of causes and conditions contributing to deaths from external causes, will work out a whole range of measures to prevent emergencies. The district's emergency services will conduct tactical and special exercises to respond to natural and man-made emergencies at potentially hazardous facilities. In addition, at facilities with a large concentration of people, actions in case of fire detection will be practiced, involving fire alarm systems, fire notification, and evacuation management. Specialists will hold discussions and lectures in work collectives on issues of ensuring life safety and the safety of the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant, as well as preventive actions in educational institutions. Open days will be held in structural divisions of various departments.

The objectives of the "Unified Safety Day" are to foster a culture of life safety in society through joint efforts and to conduct educational and upbringing work with the younger generation.
