Creating favorable conditions for entrepreneurial activity is one of the main strategic factors for the sustainable socio-economic development of the district.

Today, private business occupies a special place in the structure of the district's economy, playing a significant role in the social life of the population, contributing to the formation of a competitive environment, growth in the production of consumer goods, development of the service sector, and creation of new jobs.

The entrepreneurial sector of the Gluboksky district is represented by 792 active individual entrepreneurs and 168 commercial organizations.

In the structure of small and medium-sized enterprises, wholesale and retail trade accounts for more than 60 percent.

Business entities of the Gluboksky district have registered 142 stores, 103 pavilions, and 20 non-isolated facilities in the trade register of the Republic of Belarus.

Household services for the population are provided by 121 business entities, including 23 legal entities and 98 individual entrepreneurs.

The export of services has significantly increased due to the export of tourist services by the sanatorium-resort complex "Plissa," a branch of PS ZAO "TrestPromStroy."

The share of tax revenues from small and medium-sized enterprises in the budget is about 30 percent.

In order to involve the unemployed in active economic activities, support is provided annually in the form of subsidies to unemployed citizens for organizing entrepreneurial activities, funded by the state extra-budgetary fund for social protection of the population of the Republic of Belarus.
