The district's agriculture is represented by 11 agricultural organizations, including: 2 state unitary enterprises, 3 open joint-stock companies, 6 agricultural unitary enterprises owned by legal entities of non-state ownership, 37 peasant farms

The following agro-towns have been established:

2005 – "Ozyortsy";

2006 – "Marcebylino", "Lomashi";

2007 – "Koroby 2" and an agro-town in the urban-type settlement Podsvilye;

2008 – "Udalo", "Prozoroki", "Golubichi";

2009 – "Babichi", "Mnyuto 1", "Psuya";

2010 – "Obrub", "Chernevichi", "Proshkovo", "Gatovshchina".

The district's farms keep 37.8 thousand heads of cattle, including 14.5 thousand cows, and 197.5 thousand heads of poultry.
