Glubokoye Ski Track-2026
On February 14, the Borok tract on the shore of Lake Podlaznoye once again became a center of attraction for everyone who is not afraid of frost and loves an active lifestyle. The traditional district sports and arts festival "Glubokoye Ski Track-2026", dedicated this year to the Year of Belarusian Women, unfolded here.
Despite the thermometer showing minus eight degrees, a truly heated atmosphere reigned here. For four hours, the cold was not felt at all – it was displaced by sports excitement, friendly communication, and enthusiastic support from fans. Representatives of organizations, institutions, and enterprises of the Glubokoye district gathered here to test their strength, demonstrate team spirit, and simply have a good time with like-minded people.
The grand opening of the festival began with a welcome speech by the Chairman of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee, Petr Belus. Addressing the participants, he noted: "On this platform, we are all united by a love for sports, a healthy lifestyle, and our homeland. People who want to participate, win, and achieve more have come here. May the strongest win!"
Along with him, Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee Tatyana Tarasevich and Chairman of the Glubokoye District Council of Deputies Vera Telitsa came to support the athletes and guests of the festival.
But before the start of the competitions, the results of the XXV year-round Spartakiad of the Glubokoye District among labor collectives of organizations, dedicated to the Year of Improvement, were summarized: third place went to the sports sector of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee, second place to Glubokoye MKC, and first place to Glubokoye Electric Networks. Pyotr Belus congratulated the winners from the labor collectives.
The competition program within the framework of the "Glubokoye Ski Track-2026" festival was rich and diverse. The main event, of course, was the ski race – individual races and exciting relays, where the fight was for every second.
But intense passions were also boiling on other grounds. Men and women enthusiastically pulled the rope, competed in accuracy by throwing valenki and darts, and demonstrated considerable strength in arm wrestling and kettlebell lifting.
Our wonderful women deserve special mention. In their thematic year, they proved that they are capable of not only the ski track but also strength disciplines such as arm wrestling and kettlebell lifting, where they showed impressive results.
The creative flair of the participants found its outlet in the competition for the best snow composition. The teams' imagination turned ordinary snow into funny and original figures, which became an excellent backdrop for photographs.
For those who were cold or hungry, a mobile kitchen was available. Hot porridge and aromatic tea warmed up participants and spectators, giving them strength for new achievements. Mobile trade was also set up nearby, offering guests of the festival various treats.
Each competition turned into a real show, as behind the athletes stood their colleagues – active and loud support groups. Cheers, applause, and friendly encouragement did not cease for a minute, creating a unique atmosphere of unity and celebration.
Fair and impartial judging was provided by professionals in their field – employees of the sports and tourism sector of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee, the physical culture and recreation center, and the children's and youth sports school. They carefully monitored compliance with the rules and recorded the results. Among the participants, one could see both already well-known amateur athletes in the district and newcomers who, to the surprise of many, managed to impose serious competition on experienced rivals and write their names into the competition protocols.
The culmination of the celebration was the solemn award ceremony. Tired but happy winners and prize-winners ascended the improvised podium to the applause of their comrades. Deserved certificates and valuable prizes were presented to them by Petr Belus and Vera Telitsa, warmly congratulating each on their personal and team success.

Participants departed for home with pleasant fatigue, vivid impressions, and a promise to return to the next "Glubokoe Ski Track" to once again feel the spirit of healthy competition and true sportsmanship.
And the Year of Belarusian Women, to which the holiday was dedicated, received a worthy sporting and inspiring start, demonstrating the strength, grace, and unyielding character of our countrywomen.
