Glubokoye residents handed over the collected coins for the creation of the memorial sign 'Living Memory of Grateful Generations'

A solemn event for the transfer of coins collected by the residents of our city and district was held at the Center for Traditional Culture and Folk Art of Glubokoye as part of the patriotic campaign to create the memorial sign "Living Memory of Grateful Generations".

Representatives of labor collectives, the district's deputy corps, party, trade union, veteran, and other public organizations, as well as youth, participated in this event.

Each of them brought the collected coins and transferred them to the common district piggy bank.

A total of 32 kilograms 475 grams of coins and 180 Belarusian rubles (paper banknotes) were collected.

All of this will be delivered to the official representatives of the Alexey Talay Charitable Foundation for the Vitebsk region.

As part of the patriotic event, a dialogue platform "War. Victory. Memory" was organized, in which the Chairperson of the Glubokoye District Council of Deputies, Vera Telitsa, took part.

In her welcoming speech to those gathered in the hall, Vera Mikhailovna thanked the residents of Glubokoye for their active participation in the patriotic campaign. After all, there is no more sacred and important cause than perpetuating the memory of heroes who gave their lives in the fight against the Nazi invaders, and perpetuating the memory of people tortured in Nazi concentration camps.

Together with the moderator of the dialogue platform "War. Victory. Memory", the First Secretary of the District Committee of the Belarusian Youth Union, Yana Romanovskaya, the Head of the Department of Ideological Work and Youth Affairs of the District Executive Committee, Lyudmila Karnilovich, the Head of the Department of Education of the District Executive Committee, Tatyana Gavrilova, the Director of the Glubokoye Historical and Ethnographic Museum, Elena Myadelets, the Chairperson of the District Council of Veterans, Vitaly Shipko, the Chairperson of the primary trade union organization of the Zonal State Archive in Glubokoye, Alina Yurgel, and many others took an active part in the dialogue.
