Glubokoye. Grass is burning: different consequences of one foolishness

Rescuers of the Glubokoye District Department for Emergency Situations are conducting raid activities in the settlements of the Glubokoye district to ensure that yard clean-up is carried out without fire.

With the onset of the warm season, the problem of burning dry vegetation becomes particularly relevant. This dangerous process, caused by the human factor, can lead to catastrophic consequences.

As practice shows, it is carelessness, and sometimes deliberate disregard for safety rules by people, that leads to fires in the spring: non-compliance with fire safety rules when tidying up yard areas, and sometimes conscious burning of dry vegetation, careless handling of fire when lighting bonfires lead to tragic consequences - outbuildings, residential buildings end up in flames, the spreading flame threatens forest areas, and creates danger to people's lives and health.

Employees of the Glubokoye District Department for Emergency Situations went on a raid in the Glubokoye district. Communicating with the residents of the settlements, the senior engineer of the sector for organization and functioning of the State Fire Service and Civil Defense, Evgeny Egorov, reminds of fire safety rules that will help avoid terrible consequences of burning dry vegetation:

— Burning dry vegetation is prohibited by law. Lighting bonfires in yard areas is allowed, but only in compliance with strict rules: use specially prepared places, do not use flammable liquids (except those intended for ignition), light fires only in calm weather, ensure constant monitoring of the burning process, have water, sand or a fire extinguisher at hand, and completely extinguish the embers before leaving. Do not play with fire to avoid tragedy.

It is important to remember that burning dry vegetation poses a risk of uncontrolled fire spread. If conditions are unfavorable, the fire can get out of control.
