Deep. Fire prevention work in the residential sector of the Gluboksky district

With the aim of preventing fires and deaths from them in the Glubokoe district, extensive large-scale preventive work has been carried out, which means that interested services are on duty daily, even on weekends.

The focus is on households of single and lonely citizens, disabled individuals, large families, families with children in socially dangerous situations, and citizens who abuse alcohol.

On a weekend day, when most citizens are at home, the rescuers' task is to visit every household, inspect it for fire safety, and, if violations are found, provide recommendations for their elimination.

Fire safety in the home is an important aspect that prevents fires and protects life and property. Our main recommendations for ensuring fire safety in a house or apartment are: installation of an autonomous fire alarm, proper functioning of electrical wiring, kitchen safety, heaters and other heating devices must be used only if they are in good working order, - notes Ruslan Ermakovich, Deputy Head of the Glubokoe District Department for Emergency Situations.

Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations pointed out existing shortcomings and provided recommendations for their elimination. While inspecting households, rescuers explained safety measures in everyday life, reminded about the rules for using electrical appliances and stoves, checked the operability of autonomous fire alarms, and replaced batteries if necessary. The owners were also reminded of the rules for safely tidying up the household territory.

Employees of the emergency situations department hand out leaflets on observing fire safety measures with a detailed description of actions in case of a fire and emergency service numbers, and also recommend that residents secure their homes by installing an autonomous fire alarm in living rooms.

Experience shows that fire prevention work yields results. Nevertheless, the primary role in ensuring the safety of one's own home still rests with the owner.
