Glubokoye District: Readiness of farmers for fieldwork assessed by Member of the House of Representatives Anatoly Sivko

The first stop on the route was the machine yard of the agricultural enterprise "Meretskiye". The farm director Alexander Loginov reported that the equipment is 100% ready for fieldwork and has successfully passed state technical inspection. Farmers will begin sowing in the coming days.
The Chairman of the District Executive Committee, Pyotr Belus, in turn, drew attention to the favorable weather conditions established in March. He urged the farm manager not to waste time: "We need to find dry areas and start plowing. This year, we plan to expand the areas under corn, so every fair-weather day counts."
Anatoly Sivko inquired about the plans for fertilizing winter crops. According to Alexander Loginov, the application of fertilizers for rapeseed will begin any day now – 450 hectares of this important crop will be treated.
The next point of the visit was the machine yard of the agricultural enterprise "Koroli". Ivan Komzakov, representative of the Gluboksky agro-industrial association and Deputy General Director for Agriculture of OJSC "Gluboksky Dairy and Canning Plant", reported on the situation here.
He reported on the staffing of the farm, the readiness of equipment, and the availability of necessary spare parts. Current fertilization work and plans for sowing grasses were also discussed.
Summing up the visit, Anatoly Sivko gave a positive assessment of what he saw:
– Today we have confirmed that serious preparatory work has been carried out in the farms of the Gluboksky district. The equipment is in good working order, the people are ready for labor, and there is a clear understanding of the tasks for the upcoming season. The хозяйский подход (owner's approach) and focus on results are encouraging. It is important that the managers and specialists on the ground understand the significance of each stage – from timely fertilization of winter crops to quality soil preparation. I am confident that with such a responsible approach, the district's farmers will be able to lay a solid foundation for the future harvest and successfully carry out the sowing campaign.
