Igor Sergeenko familiarized himself with the progress of preparations for spring field work in the Miory district

As part of the instructions of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly, Igor Sergeenko, made a working trip to the Miory district. He visited a number of agricultural enterprises and became acquainted in detail with the situation in each farm, identifying problem areas. He paid special attention to the readiness of agricultural machinery for spring field work, the conditions for keeping livestock, the availability of feed, and their storage conditions.

In particular, at OAO “Lyubinovo” the situation is as follows: milk yield per cow is slightly over 4 liters, weight gain of cattle is about 300 grams. This is clearly insufficient. Specialists from the Ministry of Agriculture and Food emphasized the need for more stringent accounting and identification of cows, pedigree work, and ensuring epidemiological safety. They cited leaders in this field as examples: at SUP “Titovo” the milk yield per cow per year exceeded 6 thousand tons, at OAO “Shaiterovo” of the Verkhnedvinsk district – 8 thousand.

Attention should also be paid to the quality of feed. A sufficient amount was procured last year, however, it is important to preserve it.

As for the readiness of agricultural machinery for spring field work, at OAO “Lyubinovo” it is 73.3%. The machine and tractor fleet requires renewal. Some repairs are done in-house, and assistance is requested from specialized enterprises. Meanwhile, the summer grazing season is not far off. Igor Petrovich instructed to accelerate the preparation of mobile milking units.

At UP “Cheressy” all trailed equipment is ready for sowing, tractors will be brought to readiness in the second decade of March. Livestock performance indicators are at the average district level: about 10 liters per cow per day are milked, weight gain of heifers is about 500 grams. The farm has prospects.
