During the inspection of the readiness of the Armed Forces, the integration of the experience of the Russian special military operation into the training programs of the Armed Forces of Belarus is being checked. This was stated to journalists by State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Volfovich following a report to the head of state, according to a BELTA correspondent.
"We are focusing on how the experience of the special military operation is integrated into combat training, what forms and methods (are being integrated. - Ed. BELTA). For example, a march-throw is carried out by small groups. How are combat operations conducted today? By small assault groups," said Alexander Volfovich. "If earlier march-throws were carried out by companies or battalions, now small groups move on the battlefield."
According to the State Secretary of the Security Council, during tactical training control sessions as part of the Armed Forces readiness inspection, the personnel's ability to operate in small groups – threes or fives – is also taken into account. "During control sessions, we observe how commanders use the experience that we have implemented and outlined in the training programs of our Armed Forces," he emphasized.
Alexander Volfovich noted that the Commander-in-Chief is also interested in the use of the special military operation experience during the readiness inspection. The President also focuses on the personnel's ability to fight in forests. "We have forested and swampy terrain. And in the military unit being inspected, a training ground has been equipped for training personnel in actions in forested and swampy terrain. Targets have been set up in the forest, shelters have been made, revetments have been dug... In these conditions, personnel perform firing tasks. With live ammunition, not simulation," added the State Secretary of the Security Council.
The servicemen's ability to detect unmanned aerial vehicles and operate UAV detection equipment is also being tested. "How to inflict fire damage on a quadcopter or other aircraft using small arms – these aspects are also being focused on. The personnel's ability to counter other modern means of destruction is being verified," summarized Aleksandr Volfovich.
As BELTA reported, a large-scale inspection of the Armed Forces, initiated by the head of state, began on January 16. Aleksandr Lukashenko is personally overseeing its progress. A new system has been developed whereby the President, bypassing the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff, brings military units to combat readiness. The primary objective of such an inspection is to obtain an objective picture. This is precisely why the exercises are conducted without prior notice.
