On February 15, our country commemorates the Day of Remembrance of Compatriots Who Performed Military Duty Abroad. 37 years ago, the last military units of the limited contingent of the Soviet army left the land of Afghanistan.

Today, we anew realize the true meaning and significance of the participation of our soldiers and officers in those historical events. The further time separates us from them, the clearer the greatness of the feat of the Fatherland's patriots becomes. Those who were the first to challenge international terrorism, bravely fought the enemy, and sincerely believed that the peaceful happy life of the fraternal people depended on them. We admire your courage, valor, bravery, and nobility!

Paying tribute to all who endured and returned home, we share the pain of loss with those who lost comrades, who did not wait for their relatives and loved ones. May their bright memory be preserved forever in our hearts!

Words of special gratitude are addressed to the veterans. Thank you for your active civic position, active participation in public life, patriotic and spiritual-moral education of the younger generation.

We wish all internationalist soldiers strong health, a peaceful sky above their heads, optimism, prosperity, and good luck. May your unity and cohesion inspire you to achieve new goals, become a starting point for further accomplishments and good deeds!
