"Who and how teaches history shapes exhibitions." Lukashenko on the importance of developing historical science

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko stated the importance of developing historical science during a meeting with the ideological asset, historical and expert community, dedicated to the Day of National Unity, reports BELTA correspondent.
The President, speaking about the development of historical science in the country, noted: "It is important what topics postgraduate students and scientists are working on today, who and how teaches history, who and how forms exhibitions in museums, tourist routes."
The Head of State emphasized that he is interested in these issues from the perspective of focusing on events, dates, and personalities. He drew attention to the fact that in many countries around the world, this issue is under special state control, up to licensing. "There you do not have the right to talk about the country's history without passing a special exam," Alexander Lukashenko told the meeting participants.
