Summer patrol

The Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Belarusian Republican Youth Union are holding the traditional joint campaign "Summer Patrol".

The campaign, which runs from June to August, is aimed at preventing emergencies of a natural and man-made nature, promoting knowledge in the field of life safety, and involving youth in preventive work. Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations units, together with activists of the Belarusian Youth Public Organization of Rescuers-Firefighters, are carrying out measures aimed at preventing fires, deaths from them, and accidents on water. Raids have been organized in forests and peatlands. Patrolling is also carried out in officially designated areas for swimming and recreation of citizens along the shorelines of water bodies.

An important element of the campaign is teaching citizens the basics of life safety through the distribution of visual aids, lectures, and open dialogues.

The campaign is being held within the framework of the implementation of the cooperation agreement between the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Belarusian Republican Youth Union.

Thus, during the campaign, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, representatives of the public association "BRSM", and representatives of the water rescue society conducted 11 raids in places for swimming and recreation of citizens in the district. Participants of the campaign were trained in the basics of life safety, told about the rules of conduct on water bodies and the rules for providing first aid to a drowning person. Vacationers listened to the useful information with interest. In return, they firmly promised to observe life safety rules.

Rescuers told the younger generation about safety measures during the summer holidays, and reminded children how to behave correctly while relaxing in the forest, during thunderstorms, and at home.

All vacationers received important knowledge, as well as visual aids.

The organizers of the project are confident that the "Summer Patrol" contributes to increasing the level of life safety culture among all age groups of the population, primarily children and youth. The project is aimed at reducing the number of fires.
