Public figures who assist in the employment of Latvian citizens wishing to obtain permanent residency in Belarus came from Minsk to a personal reception with the head of the region. As the visitors explained, most choose the Vitebsk region. These are people of various professions, including blue-collar and agricultural workers, as well as doctors and teachers. The majority are in Vitebsk, as well as in the western regions of the oblast. Many vacancies, especially in the agro-industrial sector, include housing provision.
