All labor must be paid

As is known, it is the salary that is the most important driving force for an employee.

As is known, it is the salary that is the most important driving force for an employee. Article 42 of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus guarantees persons employed under an employment contract a fair share of remuneration in the economic results of labor in accordance with its quantity, quality, and social significance, but not lower than the level ensuring free and dignified existence for them and their families.

The District Prosecutor's Office pays close attention to the issues of salary payment by agricultural organizations of the district.

In June of the current year, the Prosecutor's Office of the Gluboksky District conducted an inspection of compliance with labor legislation requirements regarding salary payment not lower than the minimum in the agricultural organizations GP "Ozertsy" and SUP "Strinadki". The conducted inspection showed that in the aforementioned agricultural organizations, the rights of employees in this regard are violated.

For example, in SUP "Strinadki" at the time of the inspection (June 2018), additional payments to the minimum wage (monthly and hourly) established in January of the current year were not made to 71 employees; in GP "Ozertsy" in 2017, additional payments to the minimum wage (monthly and hourly) were not made monthly to 68 employees.

In GP "Ozertsy" and SUP "Strinadki", documents confirming violations of labor and performance discipline by employees, as well as documents justifying the reasons for underpayment of wages to the minimum wage at the time of the inspection, were absent.

Based on the results of the inspection, the District Prosecutor's Office submitted a relevant representation to the Gluboksky District Executive Committee, which was considered.

Based on the results of the consideration of the representation, 6 officials of the above-mentioned agricultural enterprises were brought to disciplinary responsibility. In SUP "Strinadki", additional payments to the minimum wage were made to employees in the amount of 13,194 rubles 80 kopecks. In GP "Ozertsy", the amount of underpayment to the minimum wage was 69,520 rubles 17 kopecks. In August of the current year, additional payments were made in the amount of 11.8 thousand rubles.

According to the developed

graphics in GP "Ozyortsy" additional charges to the minimum wage employees will be made until December 2018.

The district prosecutor's office will continue to work in this direction.
