Lukashenko: Belarus strives to reach a strategic level of relations with India

Belarus seeks to elevate relations with India to a strategic level. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated this while receiving the credentials of the Indian Ambassador, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.

"India is not just our long-standing friend and partner. We aim to elevate our relations with your country to a strategic level," the head of state said.

Lukashenko to foreign ambassadors: Belarus is completely different from how it is often portrayed.

With New Delhi's support, Minsk became a full member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation in 2024 and obtained the status of a BRICS partner country. "We are very grateful to the Indian leadership for these steps," said Alexander Lukashenko.
