Lukashenko at the Quality Mark award ceremony: it was a competition of the strongest and the equal

The first holders of the Quality Mark in the history of sovereign Belarus underwent a rigorous selection process for compliance with criteria of innovation, technological advancement, safety, and a number of others. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stated this on January 23 at the awarding ceremony of the State Quality Mark symbols, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
"Any sovereign, independent state that considers itself such must have its own serious traditions, deeply rooted in people's minds. And I very much hope that today's landmark day, in all senses, will become such a tradition," Alexander Lukashenko said, opening the ceremony.

The President recalled that exactly one year ago, the State Quality Mark was established – an attribute of official recognition, and now the first holders of this highest award in the history of the young independent Belarusian state have been determined.
"These are well-known brands that we proudly say: "Made in Belarus". They have undergone a rigorous selection process to meet the criteria of innovation, technological advancement, safety, and a number of others. Among the winners are our famous automotive products and goods loved by millions of people on different continents. Baby food that is fed to infants even in distant Africa. And, of course, products made from Belarusian flax, one of our national symbols," said the head of state.
