We need to grow enough potatoes to be enough for both Belarus and Russia. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko while receiving a report from the Chairman of the Brest Regional Executive Committee Petr Parkhomchik, BelTA correspondent reports.
"There are a lot of discussions. Especially after the meeting with the President of Russia, where he joked about potatoes. But for us, this is a very serious issue. In what sense? If there's one thing we know how to do, it's grow potatoes. We need to grow enough to be enough for us and Russia," said the head of state.
"We need to help our Russian brothers. And besides, this is not charity. This is also decent money, decent prices," added Alexander Lukashenko.
