President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, on behalf of the Belarusian people and himself, congratulated the people of Lithuania on the State Restoration Day. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader. "For centuries, we have had good-neighborly relations based on historical ties, common spiritual values, and mutual cultural enrichment. And today, despite existing difficulties and trials, Belarusians have maintained sincere sympathy for Lithuanians," the congratulatory message reads. "I am convinced that in the current challenging international situation, neither short-sighted politicians nor their external advisors, whose recommendations regarding Belarus have never aligned with the true interests of the Lithuanian people, will be able to impose their view on our neighborhood on the residents of Lithuania," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized. The Head of State noted that Belarus is interested in the constructive development of bilateral relations on a healthy basis, relying on the principles of partnership and trust, friendliness, and respect. The President of Belarus wished all Lithuanians well-being and harmony.
