Lukashenko: Oman allocates land to Belarus for the creation of a tourist cluster

Oman is allocating land to Belarus for the creation of a tourism cluster. This was announced by the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, during personnel appointments, when speaking about new markets and opportunities opening up, using the example of developing relations with Oman, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
"They are allocating land to us so that we can create our own huge tourism cluster there. So that people can fly not only to Turkey and the Emirates. It's literally an hour (an hour longer flight than to the UAE. - BELTA's note) - and you are there, in the ocean. An open ocean. Here, please, come, work, the door is open. But you have to go, you have to go!" - noted the head of state.
"It is my task to open the door - come in, work. We were floundering, we didn't see this Oman. They receive us with pleasure. Ports, factories - please, take them, mix potash fertilizers, produce new ones there, sell them. So many directions are opening up!" - emphasized Alexander Lukashenko.
He added that the Omani side is ready to implement large-scale projects in Belarus as well. One of them is the construction of a pulp and paper mill, a memorandum on which was concluded on October 6 following negotiations in Minsk between the President of Belarus and the Sultan of Oman. "This is almost two billion in investments. They will trust us, they are ready to build it here," the President noted.
Earlier, it was reported that the total investment volume for this project would be about $1.4 billion. The enterprise's capacity is expected to be around 800,000 tons of products per year.
