President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko instructs not to build what can be done without today and tomorrow. The head of state announced this at a meeting on draft forecast documents for the upcoming year, a BELTA correspondent reports.

The President noted that new state programs will start operating next year. The government has already compiled a list of them, which will be considered separately. "Most of them are socio-economic in nature and are funded from the budget. But what is the basis of these programs? How was the need for resources determined? These should be real, practically applicable plans for specific and effective results," emphasized the Belarusian leader.
"At the same time, I want to note, Mr. Prime Minister, I am sure he will fulfill it - he has been instructed not to engage in construction and creation of anything that we can do without today and tomorrow. I see these offices, palaces in the regions. And other things. If it needs to be built, then include it in the program (as part of the program. - BELTA note)," the head of state pointed out.
According to Alexander Lukashenko, there are other areas where funds should be prioritized. For example, for the construction of modern complexes in agriculture for cattle keeping.
"Enough of these palaces and cultural objects. It is probably more important to build housing for people. Do not scatter money that you do not have. Objectively assess the situation and stop the construction of all sorts of museums, rest houses, and so on. These should be utilized," the President noted. "We will build one museum - and there will be the state and charity. All together.
