Lukashenko was promised to introduce domestic quail in three and a half years

During a visit to the Soligorsk poultry farm, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko was informed about the plans to create a breeding and genetic center for quail farming, according to a BELTA correspondent.
The head of state asked the specialists when Belarus would have its own quail. The fact is that domestic poultry farming currently depends on the supply of day-old chicks of ancestral and parent lines from abroad.
"We will have our own quail in three and a half years," said Inna Tolkacheva, director of the Soligorsk poultry farm.
Alexander Lukashenko also asked for the opinion of Vladimir Karanik, head of the National Academy of Sciences. "There is a good chance for quail," he replied.
