The situation on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border has stabilized more or less, although there are plenty of problems. This was stated by President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting of the Security Council, according to a BELTA correspondent. "The situation on the Belarusian-Ukrainian border has stabilized more or less. Although there are tons of problems there. Yesterday, our chief of border guards (Chairman of the State Border Committee. - BELTA note) reported to me that there are many issues that need to be resolved in a mobilization order and to build up the border, which has been abandoned by Ukraine, and to build outposts, and to arm border guards," said Alexander Lukashenko.
Moreover, the Belarusian leader noted, the Armed Forces have to be deployed behind the border guards: "Of course, this distracts not only our attention, but it distracts certain resources."
