President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko heard a report on February 18 from State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Volfovich on the progress of a large-scale combat readiness check of the Armed Forces, carried out by order of the head of state, BELTA reports.
The head of state was informed about the completion of the second stage, during which the combat readiness of most military units in almost all formations of the Armed Forces, including special operations forces, was checked. Control exercises were conducted at training grounds on firing and physical training, which was emphasized by the President's demand.
During the combat readiness check, units of the internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were involved as a conditional enemy. The President was informed of a preliminary assessment of the actions of the servicemen of the Armed Forces and Internal Troops, and how professionally they coped with the assigned tasks.
