Lukashenko expects "Belarusian Railway" to strengthen its positions and move forward progressively

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the workers and veterans of Belarusian Railway on their professional holiday – Railway Worker Day. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the head of state.
"Belarusian Railway is a crucial link in the country's transport system and the pride of its people. Every year, you transport over 60 million passengers and more than 100 million tons of various cargo. Everyone who uses the services of Belarusian Railway is absolutely confident in your reliability and punctuality," the congratulatory message reads.
The head of state recalled that the glorious labor traditions of Belarusian railway workers were laid with the opening of the first section in Belarus, Porechye – Grodno. "Since then, several generations of drivers and conductors, dispatchers and station staff, track walkers and repair engineers have proudly worn the uniform of a Belarusian railway worker and have been responsibly working for the benefit of their country," Alexander Lukashenko noted.
"I am confident that the improvement of transport management, the development of infrastructure and technologies, and the enhancement of the potential of export transport corridors will allow you to further strengthen your positions and continue to move forward," the Belarusian leader emphasized.
The President wished the industry workers, their families and loved ones health, happiness, and new professional successes.
