A large-scale investment project at "BelVitunipharma" is planned to be implemented by 2030

A large-scale investment project at the "BelVitunipharm" enterprise is planned to be implemented by 2030. This was announced to journalists by the Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Alexander Subbotin, following a meeting with the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, on the development of biopharmaceuticals.
One of the topics of the event with the head of state was the strategic development of the largest biotechnology enterprise of veterinary profile - OJSC "BelVitunipharm". Currently, it produces 150 types of veterinary drugs, including 26 biological products.
In particular, the discussion focused on the implementation of an investment project to organize the production of medical vaccines. This was provided for by Decree No. 430 in 2021, but during the course of the work, problems arose, including the so-called package of investment projects that are at different stages of readiness (the production complex for vaccine production is not completed, and expensive equipment is idle).
