The Minister of Agriculture and Food, Yuri Gorlov, assessed the progress of the harvest campaign in the Dokshitsy District.
The head of the relevant department held a meeting with the staff of the Department of Agriculture and Food of the Dokshitsy District Executive Committee. The meeting was attended by the Chairman of the District Executive Committee Sergey Abiralo and his First Deputy Natalia Vorobyeva.
During the conversation with the specialists of the department, issues related to the progress of the harvest and sowing campaigns, both in the district and in the country as a whole, as well as the livestock industry, were discussed.
- Such meetings are important because when you communicate directly with specialists who are directly involved in the practical activities of our agricultural organizations, special approaches are developed in the implementation of technological measures. This is a good exchange of experience. Much has been achieved in agriculture, but we must move forward, improve, so that the industry becomes even more efficient and productive. In general, the Dokshitsy District is one of the leaders in the Vitebsk region. As for the progress of the harvest campaign, a good harvest has been obtained in the Vitebsk region. I became convinced of this during visits to almost all regions. People work selflessly, for results. They worry, but most importantly, they are in good spirits. Vitebsk agrarians have to harvest the grain that is still in the fields in a short period of time – by September 1. It should not be delayed under any circumstances.
