Minsk became the youth capital of Belarus 2026
Minsk has officially accepted the baton of the youth capital of Belarus. The capital became the 11th city to be awarded this title, taking over the status from Gomel, which held it in 2025.
Alesya Shipillo, chief specialist of the department of ideological work and youth affairs of the Glubokoye District Executive Committee, spoke about the significance of this event. According to her, participation in the project "Minsk - Youth Capital 2026" is a truly inspiring experience.
– The Youth Capital is not just a beautiful phrase. It is the aspiration of young people to create a unique space in our country where everyone can find themselves, realize their ideas, and contribute to the development of Belarus, – noted Alesya Shipillo.
She emphasized that being part of such a large-scale movement means being energized by thousands of like-minded people. The organizers managed to create an atmosphere in which everyone feels "at home," uniting students, young professionals, and creative youth from all over the country.
