MTS and beCloud have implemented the 20th stage of mass activation of LTE base stations across the country

MTS company and infrastructure operator beCloud have completed the юбилейный, 20th stage of fourth-generation network expansion since the beginning of the year. Since the beginning of November, an additional 146 sectors at 66 LTE base stations have been activated in all regions of the country. In total, the work affected 30 districts and almost 50 settlements, including Minsk, Brest, Vitebsk, and other cities. Special attention was paid to agro-towns and small villages. More than half of the new sectors operate in the 1800 MHz range, which provides an optimal balance between data transfer speed and coverage area. Of the 66 base stations, 43 operate on MTS infrastructure, including the transport network, power supply, and the poles themselves. This allows not only MTS subscribers but also other operators to use the capacity within the framework of the country's existing 4G network deployment infrastructure model.Reference: MTS is the largest telecommunications operator in Belarus by subscriber number.
