A multi-apartment residential building will appear on the site of the former polyclinic on Bohdan Khmelnytsky Street in Vitebsk

The Committee for State Property of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee has sold an unfinished construction object of a women's polyclinic at Bogdan Khmelnitsky Street, 28, in the city of Vitebsk at auction.
The new owner is a private construction organization from the city of Minsk, which already has extensive experience in residential and commercial real estate – the organization has been operating in the construction business for over 30 years. Among its implemented projects is the Vitebsk residential complex "Novaya Chernyakhovka".
In the future, the possibility of constructing a multi-apartment residential building up to seven stories high is being considered on the site of the polyclinic.
The sale price was three base amounts. However, the buyer must also reimburse reconstruction costs in the amount of 1.315 million rubles.
Reconstruction work on the polyclinic began in February 2012, but due to financial difficulties, construction was frozen.
Initially, the building was constructed as Vitebsk City Maternity Hospital No. 2. During the Great Patriotic War, a German lazaret was located here. Later, it was used as the gynecological department of Vitebsk City Maternity Hospital No. 1.
In recent years, the committee has unsuccessfully put the polyclinic building up for auction 17 times, including 13 auctions where the object was offered at a base amount.
According to the terms of sale, the new owner must complete the construction of residential premises within the timeframe specified in the design and estimate documentation, but no later than five years from the date of acquisition of the object.
In total, the committee has scheduled 103 auctions for the sale of unused state property objects in April, most of which can be purchased for a base amount.
Since the beginning of the year, the committee has conducted 32 successful auctions. The state budget has been replenished by 1.7 million rubles.
