A tactical special exercise was held on the territory of the Glubokoye Feed Mill, the purpose of which is to practice coordinated actions in the event of emergencies.

According to the tactical plan, a fire occurred in the grain elevator of OJSC "Glubokoye Feed Mill" due to violations of fire safety requirements during welding operations by the enterprise's employees, affecting an area of 15 sq. m. with significant emission of combustion products.

During self-extinguishing efforts, an employee of the enterprise sustained burns to their hands, and another employee lost consciousness after inhaling combustion products.

This tactical special exercise allowed for the assessment of the knowledge and skills of the operational personnel in conducting initial fire suppression actions and carrying out evacuation measures for both people and the grain stored in the granaries.

Employees of the Glubokoye Department of Emergency Situations (ROChS) carried out the full spectrum of measures for organizing fire suppression at this facility, as well as conducting rescue operations from height.

Following the tactical special exercise, the Deputy Head of the Glubokoye ROChS, Ruslan Ermakovich, provided a principled assessment of the actions of both the enterprise's employees and the personnel involved in the exercise.

Ruslan Ermakovich: «Tactical special exercises are conducted annually at particularly significant enterprises and organizations located both in the territory of the Gluboksky district and in the territory of the Republic of Belarus. During tactical special exercises, the skills and actions of the working personnel and the staff of emergency response bodies and units are tested for carrying out fire suppression measures, emergency response, and rescue operations. These exercises allow us to assess the competence, capability, and effectiveness of actions in various situations».

The exercises demonstrated the level of professional training of the capital's rescuers, their ability to respond promptly to complex man-made challenges, and to effectively interact with specialized services. The acquired skills and refined algorithms will form the basis for improving safety at the city's industrial facilities.
