A special preventive event 'House Without Fire' will be held in the Gluboksky district.

To prevent emergencies and improve the level of safety culture among the population, a special preventive event "House without fire" will be held in the Gluboksky district from July 20 to 26.

Statistics indicate that the predominant cause of death from fires in residential buildings is the ignorance or disregard of safety measures by citizens, the so-called human factor – careless, negligent actions of citizens. This leads to material damage and even loss of life.
For reference: as of July 13, 2026, 537 fires occurred in the Vitebsk region, resulting in 53 deaths. In the Gluboksky district, 26 fires occurred, resulting in 6 deaths and 3 injuries from fire.
During the "House without fire" special preventive event, Ministry of Emergency Situations employees will visit vulnerable citizens at their place of residence, conduct individual instructional and explanatory conversations on pressing issues: fire prevention and deaths from fires, calling rescuers at numbers 101 and 112, compliance with fire safety rules when operating stove heating and electrical equipment, compliance with gas safety rules in everyday life, the inadmissibility of leaving children unattended, and rules of conduct near water bodies.
Rescuers will also meet with labor collectives of the district's enterprises within the framework of the special preventive event.
Rescuers urge everyone to pay close attention to the electrical wiring in all structures on their property, check the operability of autonomous fire alarms, and if they are absent, install them in every living space.
