On April 28, 2023, the State Traffic Inspectorate will hold a Unified Road Safety Day titled "Let's welcome summer on bicycles, motorcycles, and mopeds without tragedies!", aimed at preventing road traffic accidents involving two-wheeled vehicles.
The beginning of the warm season is traditionally marked by a huge number of motorcyclists, moped and scooter riders taking to the roads. At the same time, unskilled driving of two-wheeled vehicles and inattentiveness of motorists lead to accidents involving two-wheeled vehicles.
In this regard, traffic police officers will organize preventive operations in settlements and adjacent roads aimed at preventing and suppressing traffic rule violations by motorcyclists. Overt, covert, and mixed traffic control will be used.
Special attention will be paid to preventive and explanatory work to improve discipline and driving culture among members of motorcycle clubs and movements, as well as individual owners of two-wheeled vehicles, and to ensure drivers have the appropriate category for operating motorized vehicles.
