At the meeting of the presidium of the regional council of deputies, issues of fire prevention and land improvement are being considered

An off-site meeting of the Presidium of the Vitebsk Regional Council of Deputies is being held in the agro-town of Ulla, Beshenkovichi District. The main topic of the meeting is the prevention of fires in natural ecosystems, as well as land improvement, as this is one of the most important elements for ensuring safety during the spring-summer fire-hazardous period.
The event is attended by Dmitry Demidov, Chairman of the Regional Council of Deputies, Sergey Meshleshkin, member of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus, Head of the Regional Emergency Situations Department, Yuri Lipsky, General Director of the Vitebsk State Production Forestry Association, Roman Koltsa, Chairman of the Regional Committee for Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, chairmen of district (city) councils of deputies, representatives of the Beshenkovichi District Executive Committee, deputy chairmen of city and district executive committees responsible for construction, and heads of structural divisions of the regional executive committee.
- We are seeing an increase in fires in ecosystems that damage buildings and cause material damage. Unfortunately, there are also fatalities. Given that 2025 has been declared the Year of Improvement by the President, we must pay special attention to land improvement and also analyze our work on preventing emergencies, - noted Dmitry Demidov.
During the meeting, rescuers will demonstrate how demolition work on an emergency building is carried out using explosives.
