President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the personnel and veterans of the Engineering Troops of the Armed Forces on their professional holiday – the Day of Engineering Troops. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
"The combat capability of the army, its victories and defeats are largely determined by the training, technical equipment, and resilience of the engineering troops. This was the case during the Great Patriotic War, when military engineers, bringing Victory closer, equipped positions under shelling and bombing, laid minefields, and built crossings," the congratulatory message reads. "Equally selflessly, the soldier-engineers participated in the post-war restoration of the national economy, the elimination of the consequences of natural disasters and the Chernobyl catastrophe."
The Head of State noted that military engineers are currently successfully carrying out responsible tasks of neutralizing explosive objects and preventing natural threats, ensuring the safe life of the country's citizens.
"I am convinced that the Engineering Troops of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, equipped with modern weapons and equipment, will continue to be a reliable link in ensuring the military security of the Belarusian state, peace, and stability in our society," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.
The President addressed special words of gratitude to the veterans who made a significant contribution to the formation and development of the engineering troops, and also wished everyone good health, peace, prosperity, and new successes in strengthening the defense capability of Belarus.

I congratulate you on your professional holiday – the Day of Engineering Troops.
The combat capability of an army, its victories and defeats are largely determined by the training, technical equipment, and resilience of the engineering troops. This was precisely the case during the Great Patriotic War, when military engineers, hastening Victory, equipped positions, laid minefields, and built crossings under shelling and bombing.
With equal dedication, engineer soldiers participated in the post-war restoration of the national economy, the elimination of the consequences of natural disasters, and the Chernobyl disaster.
Today, military engineers continue to successfully perform crucial tasks of defusing explosive ordnance, preventing natural threats, and ensuring the safe lives of our citizens.
I am convinced that the engineering troops of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus, equipped with modern armaments and equipment, will continue to be a reliable link in ensuring the military security of the Belarusian state, peace, and stability in our society.
