The fight against corruption is a crucial task for the state and society

Corruption is one of the most detrimental phenomena at various stages of social development.

In Belarusian legislation, corruption is defined as the intentional use of an official position for the purpose of unlawfully obtaining property or other benefits, as well as the bribery of an official or a person equated to an official. The main negative economic consequences include: the expansion of the shadow economy, disruption of competitive market regulation, inefficient use of budget funds, and others.

In the Republic of Belarus, mechanisms for state anti-corruption policy have been created and implemented in practice, which have proven their effectiveness. The legal framework for anti-corruption activities in our country is contained in the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus, which regulates the most important public opinions.

Every year on December 9, since 2004, the International Anti-Corruption Day is celebrated, which was proclaimed by the UN General Assembly.

In accordance with Part 1 of Article 6 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus of July 15, 2015 No. 305-Z "On Combating Corruption," the fight against corruption is carried out by the prosecution, internal affairs, and state security bodies.

The Prosecutor's Office of Glubokoe District, in the past period of 2024, has continuously analyzed the compliance of economic entities with the requirements of anti-corruption legislation.

Thus, in 2024, the district prosecutor's office conducted 7 inspections of anti-corruption legislation, submitted 5 recommendations for eliminating violations of anti-corruption legislation, concerning the procurement of goods (works, services), the causes and conditions conducive to them, issued 1 resolution on bringing to disciplinary responsibility, as a result of which 10 persons were brought to disciplinary responsibility; issued 1 order to eliminate violations of anti-corruption legislation.

In addition, the Prosecutor's Office of Glubokoe District continuously works on освещение (highlighting/disseminating information about) the topic of anti-corruption legislation, both in related organizations and during lectures and discussions at meetings of OPOP, in organizations and

enterprises of the Glubokoye district, in educational institutions of the Glubokoye district. During such presentations, participants express their opinions on the topic of the presentations, and within the framework of the specified events, issues of interaction between state bodies among themselves and with other organizations on matters of combating corruption are discussed.
