Don't fall for the trick…

In the region, property crimes are the most common.

One vivid example is the story of a resident of the town of Glubokoe, who this year fell for the trick of two women of Roma nationality to perform a ritual to remove a curse. All they needed for this was her gold jewelry. In truth, no one intended to perform the ritual, nor did they know how. The gold earrings, dear to her heart not only for their value but also as a memento, ended up in the pockets of the swindlers.

At the same time, such an act of unlawful activity did not go unnoticed by law enforcement agencies.

As a result, the evidence collected and presented in court by the state prosecution did not allow the swindlers to evade responsibility and gave the court sufficient grounds for their conviction under Part 2 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus. They were found guilty of property misappropriation by deception, committed by a group of persons, and were sentenced to imprisonment.
