On November 15, 2024, preventive measures "Flicker Control!" will be carried out in the city of Glubokoye and Glubokoye district to prevent road traffic accidents involving vulnerable road users.

With the approach of dark evenings, the danger of road accidents involving pedestrians increases. In the evening, in bad weather conditions, it is very difficult to see a pedestrian crossing the roadway or walking along the roadside.

One of the simplest and most accessible ways to attract the attention of drivers is a reflector or flicker, which will help to avoid danger on an unlit section of the road.

We would like to remind drivers once again that hitting a pedestrian remains the most common type of road traffic accident. When approaching regulated and unregulated pedestrian crossings, make sure there are no pedestrians on the crossing. Pedestrians, in order to avoid road traffic accidents, must cross the roadway only in permitted places, and only after they have made sure that it is safe to cross.
